'Super sub' Faisal Halim inspires Selangor with his presence [WATCH]

PETALING JAYA: The mere presence of Faisal Halim's name in the Selangor team list as a reserve player was enough to fire up his teammates.

Faisal, who has recovered from a horrifying acid attack by an unknown assailant three months ago, was listed in Selangor's FA Cup semi- final second leg against Terengganu at MBPJ Stadium yesterday.

Though Selangor trailed 3-2 from the first leg on July 19, the Red Giants were energised by Faisal being "around" as they duly produced a 4-1 second leg win to advance to the FA Cup final, 6-4 on aggregate.

Captain Safuwan Baharudin gave Selangor an early third minute lead, and he was on target three minutes later.

However, Terengganu reduced the deficit in the 22nd minute through Ismaheel Akinade.

Safuwan completed his hat-trick in the 54th minute, and Selangor substitute Reziq Bani Hani struck the final goal.

Selangor will meet the winners of today's semi-final clash between Johor Darul Ta'zim and Kedah in the FA Cup final on Aug 24.
