KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor face a daunting challenge in the Asian Champions League 2 (ACL2).
Selangor, returning to the Asian stage for the first time since 2016, have been drawn in a tough Group H with South Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Thailand's Muangthong United and the Philippines' Dynamic Herb Cebu.
After today's draw at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor FC CEO Dr Johan Kamal Hamidon said: "Our goal is to advance past the group stage, but we will focus on one match at a time."
Meanwhile, former KL City coach Bojan Hodak, who now steers Persib Bandung, finds his Indonesian club in Group D with China's Zhejiang, Thailand's Port FC, and Singapore's Lion City Sailors.
Group E features Japan's Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Australia's Sydney FC, the Philippines' Kaya FC Iloilo and Hong Kong's Eastern.
Group G consists of Thailand's Bangkok United, Vietnam's Nam Dinh, Hong Kong's Lee Man and Singapore's Tampines Rovers.
