KUALA LUMPUR: Sabah Football Association (Safa) has denied a claim that it is selling shares in Sabah FC.
In a statement issued yesterday, Safa president Datuk Shahelmey Yahya categorically rejected the allegation that the association had been in talks with individuals or groups over the sale of a stake in the Super League club.
"We would like to clarify that Safa has not met with any party nor have we received any offer to sell shares in Sabah FC," said Shahelmey.
The statement was in response to a Facebook post by DSAT Group, which had thanked Shahelmey for purportedly agreeing to offer shares in Sabah FC.
