When the match resumed, SMK Darul Ehsan continued the onslaught in search of an equaliser but got sucker punched in the 59th minute.
After a defensive mix-up, SMK Shah Alam's Darwisy Danish Mohd Noor Kerisman lobbed SMK Darul Ehsan's on-rushing goalkeeper Akmal Farish Aizat Yusri Hisham for another goal.
SMK Shah Alam coach Osmera Omaro said his boys were a bit lucky to get the win as they struggled to adjust to the bumpy pitch.
"I must give credit to SMK Darul Ehsan as they pushed hard for the equaliser. But we defended well to get the victory."
The season-opening match kicked off the Datuk Mokhtar Dahari Cup, which will see 32 of the best Under-16 secondary school teams from 10 education districts in Selangor vie for the title.
