KUALA LUMPUR: Lee Xin Yi's brace inspired Bandar Tun Razak (BTR) to victory as they clinched the Kuala Lumpur Women's Super League (KLWSL) crown with a 3-1 extra-time win over Setiawangsa Rangers in the final at the KLFA Stadium today (Dec 7).
In a closely contested encounter, Muskan Abdul Nurin Majid broke the deadlock for Setiawangsa in the 53rd minute.
However, BTR equalised in the 76th minute when Nurin Batrisya Efendy calmly converted from the penalty spot.
Four minutes into the first half of extra time, Xin Yi capitalised on a defensive lapse to give BTR a 2-1 advantage.
Setiawangsa responded by raising their tempo in search of an equaliser, but BTR's defence held firm under pressure.
The result was sealed in the 95th minute when Xin Yi struck her second goal of the match, delivering the title for BTR.
