KL City Hall demolishes illegal premises in Bandar Tun Razak

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has demolished four illegal premises in the Bandar Tun Razak area. The premises include car wash facilities and illegal stalls.

DBKL, in a statement, said the operation was carried out by its enforcement department, the Bandar Tun Razak Branch Office, and the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department.

The officers demolished illegal car wash structures and illegal stalls around Jalan 2/154, Taman Bukit Anggerik, and Jalan 40/154, Taman Dahlia.

It said the demolition of the structures, built without DBKL's approval, was conducted under Section 46 of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974, which relates to obstructing public spaces or pathways.

"The business structures were built without approval and were identified as causing traffic disruption, pollution and posing safety issues," it said.

DBKL said the action aligns with its commitment to ensuring that the city remains organised, comfortable and safe for all.

"Continuous investigation and monitoring will be conducted through a series of special operations across the 11 parliamentary constituencies in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur," it said.
