GELANG PATAH: Former Manchester United and England star Lee Sharpe will grace the Johor Golf Expo (JGE 2024) today.
This event will be held at the scenic Senibong Golf Club, where Sharpe, who also played for Leeds United, will headline the Hole-in-One Challenge as part of a thrilling lineup of activities for the inaugural JGE.
Sharpe, who played over 400 professional football matches and won an impressive collection of silverware — including three Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a League Cup during his celebrated career at Manchester United — has since made a name for himself in the world of golf.
After retiring from football in 2003, Sharpe transitioned to professional golf and began competing in tournaments in 2021.
Now, a football pundit, his presence at the JGE will definitely excite both football and golf fans alike.
Sharpe will be at the Johor Golf Expo today for a meet-and-greet session and will play in the Hole-in-One Challenge at Senibong Golf Club.
He will also grace the opening ceremony of JGE 2024.
Sharpe's appearance is brought to JGE 2024 through World Football Legends, as part of efforts by Champions Golf and Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (KPRJ) to promote golf to new and existing fans across the region.
With a mission to inspire young players and strengthen the golf community in Malaysia, JGE 2024 promises to be an action-packed event for all.
