KUALA LUMPUR: Junior World Cup hosts Malaysia fell 2-1 to South Korea in a Junior Asia Cup bronze playoff at the Sultan Qaboos Stadium in Oman on Thursday.
Malaysia wasted a few penalty corners to end fourth in Asia.
Korea scored off a penalty corner through Lim Dohyun in the 22nd minute.
However, Adam Ashraf Johari equalised four minutes later.
Yoo Seungho nailed the winner in the 37th minute for Korea to grab the bronze.
Meanwhile, India edged Pakistan 2-1 in the final, while Japan thrashed Bangladesh 5-1 for fifth position.
India, Pakistan, Korea and Malaysia will represent Asia in the Junior World Cup here in December.
