Fans thought the world No. 12 team would be taking on Olympic champions Belgium in a friendly in Antwerp on Wednesday.
Instead, the Belgium B side turned up for the match.
And to add salt to Malaysia's wounds, Belgium B defeated their Asian rivals 4-2.
It was Malaysia's second consecutive match against Belgium B, whom they beat 3-1 in their opening match on Sunday.
On Wednesday, Faizal Saari scored two goals in the 31st and 55 minutes.
Belgium responded by scoring goals in the 11th, 22nd, 26th and 58th minutes.
Let's hope Belgium's first team, the world No. 3 and reigning Olympic champion, turn up for Friday's friendly against Malaysia.
