KUALA LUMPUR: Young Tigresses will change their name in the Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) to QNet Phoenix.
Coach Lailin Abu Hassan said QNet Phoenix's target is to finish in the top four among seven teams.
The other teams in the women's MHL are league champions Malaysian University, Blue Warriors, Armed Forces, Negeri Sembilan, Mutiara MSSPP-PSHA-Uniten and debutants Territory Stingers of Australia.
Lailin said he has retained 18 players who featured in the Junior Asia Cup in Muscat last year.
"Five of my players could not play in the MHL because of SPM exam.
"We will face a strong challenge from Malaysian University, Blue Warriors, Territory Stingers and Negri Sembilan who have a number of national players and have also recruited four national players from China," said Lailin.
QNet Phoenix, who are also preparing for the Junior World Cup in Chile in December, will face former champions Negri on Saturday at Seremban 2 Stadium.
