Wendy to improve on her routines for Olympics

WENDY Ng is ready to go back to the drawing board to improve herself ahead of next year’s Tokyo Olympic Games.

The diver earned an Olympic berth in the women’s 3m springboard individual at the recent Gwangju World Championships.

“I will start from zero when I return to training next week. The women’s 3m event is getting harder, so I need to upgrade my routines,” said Wendy.

The 25-year-old underwent surgery for a shoulder injury in August last year and only returned to competition at the Kazan leg of the World Series in May.

Meanwhile, Tern Jian Han finished 42nd in the men’s 50m backstroke after clocking 26.12 seconds at the world meet in Gwangju yesterday.

Compatriot Phee Jinq En clocked 32.23s to finish 31st in the women’s 50m breaststroke. Both failed to reach the semi-finals.
