HANOI: Clement Ting clinched an unexpected gold medal for Malaysia in wushu at the Sea Games here today.
Clement's performance impressed the judges as he scored a commendable 9.70 at the Cau Giay Gymnasium, which saw him emerging winner in the men's changquan.
Singapore's Jowen Lim also scored 9.70 but was forced to settle for silver on a lower difficulty level in routine.
Indonesia' Seraf Naro completed the podium after scoring 9.69 while Malaysia's Yeap Wai Kin finished just off the podium in fourth on 9.68.
