KUALA LUMPUR: Diver Pandelela Rinong was far from her best but did enough to qualify for the final of the women's 10m platform individual at the Commonwealth Games today.
The four-time Olympian managed only a score of 283.50 to place seventh out of 14 divers in the preliminaries at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre.
It was a far from ideal performance from the Sarawakian but she still got through to the top-12 final.
Home hope Andrea Spendolini Sireix led the pack with a score of 360.60 while compatriot Lois Toulson came in second with 332.00. Australia's Emily Boyd rounded up the top three with a score of 304.30.
Pandelela, who claimed bronze in this event at the World Championships in Budapest last month, certainly needs to up her performance to finish among the medals. The final will be held later today.
