KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran Ridzuan Puzi clocked a season-best time of 12.37s to finish third in his heat to qualify for the men's 100m T36 (cerebral palsy) final at the World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan, today.
The 36-year-old Ridzuan, who is gunning for a fourth medal in the world meet, clocked the fifth fastest time in the event.
China's Yang Yifei clocked the fastest time of 11.79, followed by compatriot Deng Peicheng (12.00) and Algeria's Mokhtar Didane (12.19).
Ridzuan won a gold in the 2015 Doha edition, a silver two years later in London and a bronze in the 2019 Dubai event.
