KUANTAN: Fifty foreigners will be among 550 athletes competing in the Malaysia Open Athletics Championships starting on Friday at the Darul Makmur Stadium.
Organising committee secretary Datuk R. Annamalai said the meet will feature 500 Malaysian athletes, including those preparing for next year's Sea Games.
The foreign athletes are from Russia, Singapore, Australia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Namibia, and the Philippines.
He said Malaysian track stars Azeem Fahmi and Shereen Samson Vallabouy will also feature in the meet.
