KUALA LUMPUR: Diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri's passion for the sport is still burning strong despite a diluted show at the Paris Olympics.
The three-time Olympian ended up last in the final of the women's 3-metre springboard last week.
Dhabitah had a "rushed preparation" for the Olympics after World Aquatics allocated an unused quota to Malaysia at the end of June, and this was evident in her performance in Paris.
Dhabitah hopes to compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics although she will be 29 by then.
But Dhabitah said she needs to "reset" and think about her next course of action.
She was on the verge of giving up the sport after failing to qualify for the Olympics from the World Championships in Doha in February.
"I feel very good about myself, coming from not wanting to dive anymore to getting into the final," said Dhabitah after arriving at KLIA yesterday.
"I still love the sport, I have a lot more to give. With proper coaching and programme, with proper everything I can do better."
