SERI KEMBANGAN: Selangor Red Giants (SRG) bounced back in style at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY) today.
After suffering their first defeat in 19 MPLMY games on Friday, losing 2-1 to Monster Vicious, SRG dominated Team Haq with a convincing 2-0 victory in their final regular-season game at the Subang Jaya City Council Stadium in Serdang Jaya.
The win saw SRG finish top of the league with 24 points, securing an upper-bracket spot for the playoffs in Johor later this month.
SRG coach Michael Angelo "Arcadia" Bocado hopes the team will stay sharp for the playoffs.
"For sure, there will be strategies because many teams are eager to qualify for the M6 World Championships. We need to prepare well for the playoffs," said Bocado.
"As the top seed with an upper-bracket spot, we need to make sure we use this advantage wisely. Developing as many strategies as possible to counter our opponents is key," he added after the win over Team Haq.
The playoffs will be held at the EduCity Sports Complex's Indoor Arena in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, on Oct 31-Nov 3.
