Vamos must step up against all rivals in playoffs, says owner Soloz

KUALA LUMPUR: Team Vamos owner Faris "Soloz" Zakaria has urged his players to maintain equal focus on every opponent during the playoff stage of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY).

The playoffs begin on Thursday in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

Faris is determined to avoid any slip-ups, especially after the team's loss to Monster Vicious (MV) in Week 5 of the regular season.

He noted that the team were focused on Homebois that week, overlooking the threat from MV.

"I can't blame my players for focusing on Homebois in Week 5, as many of them were previously with that team, so they were determined not to lose to them," said Faris at the MLBB Creator Awards on Sunday.

"But now that we're in the playoffs, I've told my players to treat every team equally.

"It doesn't matter who we face. We can't afford to underestimate any team."

Vamos' only other defeat in the regular season came against Mid Season Cup champions Selangor Red Giants (SRG).

They finished second, six points behind SRG, earning a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs.

JP Niners and Red eSports will clash in a play-in match on Thursday, with the winner taking on Vamos in the upper-bracket semi-finals on Friday.
