KUALA LUMPUR: ULFHEDNAR's (ULF) Ahmet Taha "Rosa" Batir put up a spicy performance against Saudi Arabia's Geekay Esports yesterday, but admitted he has a problem with Malaysia's spicy food.
The Turkish midlaner is in Kuala Lumpur for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championships.
Ahmet and his teammates — who arrived in Malaysia two weeks ago for a boot camp — are competing in the wildcard stage, hoping to secure a spot in the M6 main show which begins on Nov 28.
After being in Kuala Lumpur for some time, Ahmet spoke of his fondness for Malaysia.
"Malaysia is somewhat similar to the Philippines and Indonesia, but the air is better because there are a lot of trees.
"But I'm having a problem with the food, it's really spicy! Overall, I really like this country," he said.
Batir was named Most Valuable Player for Game 1 and 2 in ULF's 2-0 victory against Geekay Esports in their opening match of the wildcard stage at the IOI Grand Exhibition and Convention Centre in Putrajaya yesterday.
The Turkish team, who top Group A, will play Laos' Niightmare Esports in their second group match today.
