PUTRAJAYA: Malaysian side, Vamos, rediscovered their groove to beatArgentina's Maycam Evolve at the Swiss stage of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M6 World Championship at the IOI Grand Exhibition and Convention Centre today.
Vamos proved too strong for the South Americans as they romped to 11-3 to claim a 1-0 win in 12 minutes to revive their chances to advance to the knockout rounds.
On Thursday, the Malaysians were stunned 21-14 by Saudi Arabia's Twisted Minds in a 1-0 loss.
A jubilant Vamos coach Khairul Azman "Pabz" Sharif revealed that the team had a round table meeting with the players and management after their opening day shock defeat, and improved their shortcomings to bounce back in style.
"Yesterday's loss was due to lack of communication and ideas during the game, probably the players were nervous because it was the first day of the competition," said Khairul Azman in the post-match press conference.
"We improved our communication and decision-making during the match, I'm pleased with the playing style today.
"We play an unorthodox style, so when it works, it's a good mental boost. We are now more chilled and ready to face the next matches.
"We don't mind playing anyone next, we will just give our best because we are playing best of one match... there's no room for mistakes."
