China's gamers on collision course with Turkish side

PUTRAJAYA: DianFengYaoGuai (DFYG) are on a collision course with Turkiye's ULFHEDNAR (ULF) to determine the top spot in Group A of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship wildcard stage.

This came after the Chinese team recorded their second win of the tournament by beating Saudi Arabia's Geekay Esports 2-0 at the IOI Grand Exhibition and Convention Centre.

DFYG's star EXP laner, Kiel "Kielvj" Cruzem, said that yesterday's win against Laos' Niightmare Esports was crucial for the team.

"The win against Niightmare boosted our confidence.

"So in our next games, we will only concentrate on ourselves and apply what we have worked on in training," said the 19-year-old Filipino.

Though he is the only non-Mandarin speaker member of his team, Cruzem said communication has not been a problem.

"They are teaching me Mandarin, and I have been teaching them some English too.

"We are helping each other and we also have a lot of bonding sessions," he added.

With this win, DFYG are in pole position in Group A, which sets up a juicy final day clash with ULF to determine who will top the group and advance to the wildcard grand finals on Sunday.

Cruzem said the Turkish team are a formidable force, and DFYG need to prepare well for the match tomorrow.
