IQIYI is currently working closely with multiple local entities and brands to support the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP). This includes the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) and BP Healthcare.
Khairy Jamaluddin, the Coordinating Minister of NIP, believes that one crucial aspect in containing the spread of Covid-19 is cooperation.
"Public-private partnerships send strong, clear messages that everyone plays a part in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and promoting vaccine awareness. I am looking forward to iQiyi and CITF working together to encourage more people to be vaccinated, while advocating the importance of staying home,"
In order to encourage the public to register for the Covid-19 vaccine and attend their appointments, as well as to continue to stay safe at home, iQiyi is giving out free VIP access to those who have already been vaccinated.
Vaccinated individuals can then redeem their free VIP membership and enjoy a wide selection of Asian content, including Malay, Korean, and Chinese shows, as well as anime.
With up to RM1.5 million worth of VIP vouchers up for grabs, these three groups of people are eligible to redeem free VIP from iQiyi:
- People who have been vaccinated, regardless of whichever brand of vaccine they received (Sinovac/AstraZeneca/Pfizer)
- People who will be taking the Covid test at BP Healthcare Centre
- People who volunteer at MyVAC (Malaysia Vaccine Support Volunteers)
Thus, this initiative is iQiyi's way of thanking everyone who is doing their part to flatten the curve, whether it's helping the country get one step closer to achieving herd immunity, taking the Covid-19 test as a precautionary measure, or even lending a helping hand in the nation's immunisation efforts.
HOW TO REDEEM
For those who have been vaccinated at Universiti Malaya (UM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)'s and MITEC vaccination centres, they may claim iQiyi VIP vouchers at the booths present at these centres, with more Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPV) to come.
Those who have already been vaccinated at any other PPVs can still claim the VIP voucher by filling up a redemption form available on iQiyiBersamaRakyat's website. Users can send it along with a screenshot of their vaccine profile on MySejahtera for proof of vaccination.
By getting the Covid-19 test at any BP Healthcare Centre, BP will send out the VIP codes to those individuals on behalf of iQiyi from July 7, 2021 onwards.
In addition to rewarding the rakyat with VIP vouchers, iQiyi is also partnering with BP Healthcare to offer iQiyi users a 20 per cent discount when getting the Covid-19 test at BP Healthcare centres.
VIP MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES
While there's plenty of content on iQiyi that's already available to watch for free, those with VIP membership get to watch a lot more of their exclusive content with no ads.
Plus, VIP members will get to watch new episodes in advance, including some dramas that are currently being broadcasted from Korea and China.
If that isn't enough, VIP members will also have a better viewing experience with Dolby Atmos audio and BluRay quality (1080p).

MY ROOMMATE IS A GUMIHO
There are Korean shows airing on iQiyi too, such as My Roommate Is A Gumiho. This romantic comedy tells the story of a nine-tailed fox living together with a female college student, as he needs to retrieve his fox bead from her. Hilarity and sweet moments ensue, as it usually does in typical Korean roommate scenarios. This popular Korean hit is currently being broadcasted in Korea and stars Hyeri and Jang Ki Yong.
SO I MARRIED THE ANTI-FAN
Another series K-drama fans will enjoy is So I Married The Anti-Fan, in which a thrilling romantic love story unfolds when K-pop star Hoo-joon and his anti-fan, magazine reporter Lee Geun-young, start living together due to a reality show. DEMON SLAYER: KIMETSU NO YAIBA THE MOVIE: MUGEN TRAIN
Anime fans will be hyped to watch Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Mugen Train, which is a direct sequel to the Demon Slayer series. The film follows Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke's journey aboard the Infinity Train, as they search for a demon who has been killing many demon slayers and civilians.
ATTACK ON TITAN
All four seasons of Attack On Titan, including the final one, are streaming on iQiyi. When a civilisation hiding behind enormous walls is invaded by humanoid giants known as Titans, the humans are forced to defend themselves against these human-eating monsters.
SABARLAH DUHAI HATI
Based on a novel by Mimie Afinie, 'Sabarlah Duhai Hati' tells the story of Fira, who is forced to raise her younger brother, Danish, by herself upon the death of their parents. She ends up marrying Affan, but faces many trials and tribulations in her newly married life, including battles with her in-laws, and old flames who reappear.
BUDAK TEBING 2
The second season introduces two new characters, Amin and Amnad. They both join forces with Tongki and Arif in the battle to eradicate the child labor syndicate. Meanwhile, Yoyol is still unable to accept the fact that their father is still alive and has returned.
