Singapore fines Malaysian who squirted urine concoction on women

KUALA LUMPUR: He only wanted to talk to women, but 31-year-old Tan Jun Hao's approach quickly landed him in hot soup with Singaporean authorities.

According to a Straits Times report, Tan's approach involved soiling women's clothes with a mixture of his urine and flour so he could have the chance to talk to them.

On April 9, around 8.30pm, he followed a 26-year-old woman as she was going up an escalator from Nicoll Highway MRT station.

He then squirted the mixture, which he had put in a small plastic bottle, on the woman's dress as she walked along a nearby overhead bridge.

The woman initially thought it was bird droppings due to its foul smell.

The stain grew larger when she tried to wipe it off with a tissue. Instead of stopping to talk to her, Tan walked past.

Tan's plan eventually landed him in trouble when he was caught and fined SG$1,200 after pleading guilty to using criminal force on one of the women.

However, court documents did not specify how the authorities tracked him down.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Yap Jia Jun stated that Tan had intended to squirt the mixture on the clothes of young women, especially those wearing dark-coloured clothes, so he could alert them that their clothes had been dirtied.

In doing so, he hoped to create an opportunity to talk to them.

He admitted to having done this previously to two other unsuspecting victims.
