JOHOR BARU: People of Johor from all walks of life have forwarded birthday wishes and warmest greetings to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Ismail who turns 64 on Wednesday.
The ruler is a strong believer in Bangsa Johor, a concept aimed at promoting greater unity among people in the state. His Majesty has shown great care and compassion for his subjects.
Dr Sharifah Halimah Jaafar, a consultant obstetrician & gynaecologist said His Majesty's leadership has united his subjects to live in peace and tolerance with each other.
"Wishing His majesty the happiest birthday, great health and abundant happiness throughout," she said.
Senior traffic engineer Datuk Mohd Noh Ibrahim hoped His Majesty will have a long and healthy life with great blessings.
"May His Majesty's sovereignty be ever prosperous and endure long, especially for the people of Johor," he expressed.
Director of UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei, Edey Suresh said the Sultan has lifted the spirits of the entire nation and boosted their strength as a whole.
He said: "May Tuanku be blessed with good health, happiness and infinite wisdom this birthday and his subjects stay unified under his benevolence."
Secondary school student Phan Zhi Xuan said a birthday is just the first day of another 365-day journal and wishes His Majesty immense happiness and that it finds Tuanku in whichever way Tuanku has always wanted.
A retired senior executive in a logistics company Joseph Teng wished Tuanku good health and happiness always.
"Hoping that Tuanku will continue to care for his subjects with care and compassion that His Majesty has repeatedly shown for many more years to come," he said.
Secondary school principal Ande Noor Munawara Bachok said on this great day she wishes His Majesty a happy birthday.
She said: "Johoreans are indeed blessed to have a Ruler who is kind, conscientious and acts as a protective umbrella over its people."
Senior lawyer S. Jeyakumar said His Majesty has been an exemplary Ruler and has always shown care, concern and generosity to Bangsa Johor of all walks of life especially the poor and needy.
Jeyakumar went on to say that His Majesty's reign has coincided with unprecedented growth and development and may Johor continue to soar.
Hotel general manager Indra Gandhi Rengasamy Pillai wished His Majesty great health and happiness in abundance on his birthday.
"May the Almighty continue to bestow Tuanku with strength and vigour to lead your subjects with utmost care and affection for many more years to come," she said.
