GEORGE TOWN: The Bersih 5 rally here ended with a whimper as 30 people turned up in front of City Hall at the Esplanade.
The group gathered from about 10am and left by 1pm under close supervision by the police.
Coordinator Wilson Moorty said the poor turnout was probably because of the invitations that were only sent last night.
"We expected this as some may have also committed themselves to joining the protest in Kuala Lumpur," he said.
