KUALA LUMPUR: Low cost carrier AirAsia Bhd will double the number of flights between Kota Kinabalu and Singapore to 14 weekly flights from 1 August 2018.
The additional frequencies are expected to further boost air connectivity between the two cities, in line with AirAsia’s commitment to make Asean smaller.
"In response to growing demand, AirAsia will now operate a double daily service from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu. This increase in flights throughout the day lets us offer our business and leisure guests more choice in terms of when they wish to fly," AirAsia Malaysia Head of Commercial Spencer Lee said in a statement yesterday.
To celebrate the added flights, AirAsia is offering an all-in promo fare from RM148 one way from Kota Kinabalu to Singapore, available on airasia.com and the AirAsia mobile app from now until 23 June 2018 for travel between now and 31 January 2019.
AirAsia currently connects eight domestic routes from Kota Kinabalu - Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Penang, Kuching, Miri, Sandakan and Tawau.
The airline also connects nine international routes from Kota Kinabalu - Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Taipei, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen and its latest direct route to Bangkok starting 16 August 2018.
