KOTA KINABALU: Police arrested eight people here over the rape of a teenager.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Kasim Muda said police raided several houses in the district.
"Eight men, aged 14 to 38, were arrested by a police team.
"They are suspected of being involved in the rape of a 15-year-old female student," he said today.
He said the case was completed less than 24 hours after the victim lodged a report.
The case is being investigated according to Section 375B of the Penal Code for gang rape.
