Wah Seong's unit bags RM162.45mil contract in Africa

KUALA LUMPUR: Wah Seong Corp Bhd's (WSC) unit, Wasco Engineering International Ltd (WEIL) has secured a RM162.45 million contract from BW Energy Gabon S.A for the supply of oil and gas (O&G) processing and compression modules for a project in Gabon, Africa.

In an exchange filing today, WSC said the contract's scope of work involves complete engineering, procurement, construction and installation of O&G processing and compression modules and skid units.

The scope of work is estimated to be completed within 13 months.

The work and services to be performed under the contract are within the business scope of the engineering division of the WSC Group and the risks are the normal operational risks associated with the said business.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of WSC group over the contract period. The contract is project specific and is not renewable, the filing said.

WEIL is a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and having its primary place of business at oilfields supply centre, Building 5, Jebel Ali Free Zone, in Dubai United Arab Emirates.
