QNET's V-Convention to generate RM157mil in economic impact

KUALA LUMPUR: V-Convention 2022, the largest bi-annual gathering of network marketing professionals associated with the QI Group's flagship business QNET, has returned to Penang with renewed vigour.

QNET said the five-day V-Convention 2022, held till Oct 11, was expected to generate an economic impact of RM157 million.

With more than 15,000 entrepreneurs from over 30 countries converging at the Setia Spice Convention Centre and Arena in Penang, the gathering marked the first physical V-Convention since 2019 after nearly three years of Covid-19 restrictions on large meetings.

Themed "Be The Change", event includes a mega exhibition of QNET products, training workshops by entrepreneurs and leadership professionals, information sessions about the direct selling industry, new product launches, and a showcase of the QI Group's sustainability and community initiatives.

Launched by Penang state executive councillor for tourism and creative economy Yeoh Soon Hin, the launching last Friday was attended by QI Group executive chairman Datuk Seri Vijay Eswaran, deputy chairman Joseph Bismark, QI Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas and several other prominent international business partners of QNET.

Yeoh lauded QNET's accomplishment of ushering many successful entrepreneurs to Malaysia and consequentially boosting Penang's tourism industry with the convention.

"Penang is an international city and a leading venue of choice for investors and tourists. Therefore, I must thank QNET for directing so many people to our state and raising our profile as a renowned tourist destination and Unesco World Heritage City," he said.

QNET chief executive officer Malou Caluza said V-Convention allowed the company to serve its eminent distributors.

"In turn, this event again presents them with the magic and excitement of our flagship convention. We have over 300 staff worldwide supporting the event and our participants for an unparalleled experience.

"This is the ultimate platform to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship that QNET sparks in millions of people across the globe, enabling them to improve their lives and contribute to their communities," she said.

Penang has virtually become the home of V-Convention – this year marks the ninth time the island is hosting the event.

During the global pandemic, QNET transformed V-Convention into a virtual affair.

QNET retails various products for wellness, personal care and beauty, holidays, home care and e-learning courses, enhancing the everyday lives of its customers around the world.

In 2018, QNET was ranked as one of the 100 Solid Top MLM Companies by the direct selling news portal, Business For Home.
