Amway to build more sustainable entrepreneurship models for its ABOs in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Bhd will build a more sustainable entrepreneurship model to support Amway business owners (ABOs), which in turn will drive the group's business growth.

"One of the most important aspects of our business is to sustain and grow our Amway entrepreneurs," Amway Malaysia managing director Michael Jonathan Duong said.

"We strive to support our ABOs in their entrepreneurial journey towards generating sustainable income and creating value through mutually beneficial partnerships by helping them discover their full potential and achieve their goals."

He said with over 400,000 ABOs within its network, the company continuously focused on ABO-centric programmes and incentives, as it journeyed towards Amway Malaysia's 50th anniversary vision to be one of the leading health and wellness companies in the country by 2026.

Amway Malaysia registered a new record revenue of RM1.52 billion in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022,  up 1.9 per cent from RM1,485.9 million recorded in the previous financial year.

This was mainly due to strong demand for health and wellness as well as personal care products under the Lead with Nutrition initiative.

Its net profit showed a stellar growth of 109 per cent to RM76.88 million from RM36.78 million registered in FY2021.

"Amway Malaysia has never been stronger, and we are certainly looking forward to building a profitable, sustainable future," Duong said.

He also said Amway Malaysia was stepping up efforts to provide healthier lifestyle products and solutions through the "Gut Reset-Weight Management" educational and awareness campaign.

The aim is to encourage Malaysians to adopt a healthy lifestyle and avoid the risks of non-communicable diseases,  which has placed an increased strain on the country's health system with an annual healthcare cost exceeding RM9.65 billion.
