Terengganu GLC signs nine contracts for Kemaman Supply Base services

KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu government linked company (GLC) Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Bhd's (EPIC) subsidiary Pangkalan Bekalan Kemaman Sdn Bhd (PBKSB) has signed contracts with Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd and eight other petroleum arrangement contractors (PACs) to provide supply base facility services and tenancy at the Kemaman Supply Base (KSB) in Terengganu. 

The nine contract signings on June 13, 2023 in Kuala Lumpur were witnessed by PBKSB Chairman Hanafiah Mat, EPIC group chief executive officer Ridzuan Ali, Petronas senior general manager, category management Wan Asmawadi Wan Mohd, and procurement representatives from other PACs. 

PBKSB chairman Hanafiah Mat said this contract is significant to PBKSB as it enables the company to not only strengthen its position as a supply base facility but also encourage local talent development in its area of activities. 

"We appreciate Petronas' and the other participating PACs' unwavering support.  

"We look forward to a continued partnership that will further spur the growth of the local oil and gas industry," he said in a statement today. 

KSB is Peninsular Malaysia's largest fully integrated oil and gas supply facility encompassing 200 hectares in total, with an additional 60 hectares designated for future growth. 

Throughout the contract period, PBKSB will provide facilities and services such as material handling equipment (MHE), manpower related to MHE, supply base management, and warehouse support services, as well as integrated services to Petronas' Peninsular Malaysia operations and eight other PACs.
