KUALA LUMPUR: Japan Tobacco International (JTI) Malaysia has appointed Juliana Mohd Yahaya as its new managing director effective from Oct 1.
Juliana replaced Khoo Bee Leng, who is retiring after 30 years with the company
In a statement, JTI Malaysia said Juliana brings a wealth of experience to the role, having assumed various leadership positions at JTI's global centre as well as in markets.
"Juliana joined JTI Malaysia in 2000 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility within the marketing and sales functions.
"During her career in JTI, in addition to time spent in Malaysia, she has worked at JTI's headquarters in Geneva as well as leadership roles across Asia and Europe," it said.
Juliana has been leading the Belgium and Luxembourg markets since 2020.
"JTI Malaysia would also like to take this opportunity to thank Khoo Bee Leng for her dedicated service and leadership, and we wish her a happy retirement," it said.
