KUALA LUMPUR: E-wallet providers are throwing in freebies such as free rewards points and free vouchers to entice Malaysians to claim the RM100 e-wallet credit dubbed, e-Madani, which kicks off today and runs until Feb 20, 2024.
TNG Digital, the operator of Touch 'n Go eWallet, is offering 1,000 GOrewards points and RM500 worth of merchant vouchers, while ShopeePay is offering RM600 worth of vouchers for every successful claim.
From now until Feb 29, 2024, e-Madani eligible MAE app users will stand a chance to win up to RM500,000 attractive prizes such as a Proton S70, gold bars, and cash prizes in Maybank's Tebus, Belanja dan Menang Campaign, when they claim their e-credit.
Malaysians can claim the e-credit from four e-wallet providers, namely Maybank's MAE, Petronas' Setel, TNG Digital and ShopeePay.
E-Madani is a government initiative to disburse RM100 in e-credit to 10 million Malaysian aged 21 and above, with income below RM100,000 per annum, who are not a recipient of the past eBeliaRahmah credit.
It is a one-off incentive to encouragecashless transactions.
The RM100 credit is non-transferable and will expire on Feb 29, 2024.
