Binastra Corp bags maiden building works job in Sabah worth RM313.7m

KUALA LUMPUR: Binastra Corp Bhd's wholly-owned unit Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd has bagged a contract for building works in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah worth at RM313.7 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd, the group said the contract covers the external works outside site boundary works, piling works and main building works in respect of two apartment towers.

The contract was awarded by FYT Land (KK) Sdn Bhd and encompasses the completion of external works outside site boundary works, piling works, and main building works for the proposed Phase 1 of Lot 1.

This includes the construction of Tower A, comprising a 34-storey apartment of 373 units and Tower B, a 389 units 30-storey apartment with 7-storey car park podium.

The project is to be completed by July 31, 2027.

The group said the contract is anticipated to provide an additional income stream over the next four financial years.

"We are pleased to announce that we have secured our first construction project in the state of Sabah. With this project, we have secured approximately RM1.0 billion in new contract wins for our financial year ending January 31, 2025," Binastra managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Kak Seng  said in a statement .-end–
