KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Corporation Bhd and YTL Power International Bhd were among top losers in the morning session after the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said investigations are ongoing on the data quality and services provided to schools under the 1BestariNet project.
YTL Corporation's share price dropped as much as six per cent in morning trade to RM2.51 from yesterday's closing price of RM2.66.
At midday, the stock saw its share price slide 4.5 per cent or 12 sen to RM2.54.
Meanwhile, YTL Power's share price dropped to the lowest of RM3.76 in the first half of the trading session versus Wednesday's close of RM3.89.
As at midday, its share price was down 2.83 per cent or 11 sen to RM3.78.
Earlier today, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said investigations showed that there were cases of schools not receiving data through the prject.
The MACC launched an investigation into the issue earlier this month in relations to a payment claim involving the 1BestariNet project.
