KKB bags RM93 million contracts from three firms

KUALA LUMPUR: KKB Engineering Bhd (KKB) has secured three new contracts worth RM93 million, boosting its growth prospects across multiple sectors. 

The contracts consist of a long-term agreement with Petroleum Sarawak Bhd (Petros), a sub-work with Bina Puri Builder Sdn Bhd for a water supply project and a purchase order from Greenchain Capital Sdn Bhd.

The Petros deal involves a three-year price agreement for the re-conditioning, re-qualification, and re-painting of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, extending until the third quarter of 2027 (Q3 2027). 

The Bina Puri contract, part of the second phase of Serian regional water supply project, is expected to conclude within 24 months.

The purchase order from Greenchain entails supplying MSCL pipes and related components, with completion slated for the next 12 months.

The company said while the new projects will not affect its share capital, they are expected to contribute to its earnings and net assets over the contract periods. 

KKB said potential risk including material availability, workforce constraints, and external factors such as currency fluctuations and regulatory changes.

Nonetheless, these contracts mark a significant step forward for KKB, further solidifying its role in Malaysia's engineering and construction sectors.
