KUALA LUMPUR: MMC Port Holdings Sdn Bhd, a member of the MMC Group, has appointed Datuk Azman Shah Mohd Yusof as its chief executive officer, effective Dec 1, 2024.
He was appointed as Northport (Malaysia) Bhd CEO in 2016 and holds several notable positions, including chairman of Port Klang Cruise Terminal Sdn Bhd, director of Klang Port Management Sdn Bhd and director of Northport Distripark Sdn Bhd.
He has more than 30 years of experience with extensive exposure that include among others investment analysis, corporate finance, corporate strategy, business development and port management.
Azman is currently serving as the current vice president of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI), and Executive Committee Member of the Malaysian Biomass Industries Confederation (MBIC), among others.
Following Azman's move to MMC Ports, Northport, a subsidiary of MMC Ports, has named Fakhrul Azhar Tajudin as its new CEO, effective Dec 1, 2024.
The port also announced the appointment of G. Ulaganathan as its chief operating officer, effective the same date.
G. Ulaganathan was previously the senior general manager of Commercial and Logistics Services at Northport.
Azman said these appointments mark a strategic step forward for Northport as it continues its Reinventing Northport journey.
