KUALA LUMPUR: TikTok invites all Malaysians to celebrate the 65th National Day and the 59th Malaysia Day through the app, under its #IniStyleKita campaign.
TikTok Malaysia strategy operations manager, Darren Quek said TikTok remains a safe, positive, and fun space for entertaining content.
"Here, Malaysians can grow, learn and even seek out alternative sources of income even in the toughest of times - so what better way to celebrate our tenacity and can-do attitude than through this campaign that cheers on our unique quirks and habits that make us stronger together as a family? As the theme this year goes 'Keluarga Malaysia Teguh Bersama', we want to celebrate the strength in our unity as Malaysians, together, in our own ways, for #IniStyleKita," he said.
Users can join in the hashtag challenge to show their Malaysian styles from Aug 25 to Sept 16 and partake in the National Day-themed mini-game to collect points and be one of the top 65 participants to win cool prizes and TikTok merchandise.

Users can top into "Pattern Banyak" activities with themed effects and music, an AR filter of different Malaysian pastimes, and actions like saying as many 'lahs' in 7 seconds, teaching local-dialect words, or sharing traditional #OOTD - and sharing it to the respective themes.
There will be live-streaming sessions and campaigns, as well as an official video that features top Malaysian creators like Isaac Voo, Sofyank, GiGi, and national badminton hero Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei JP to showcase some of the most iconic Malaysian "Patterns".
To amp up the 'On the Way' style, TikTok Malaysia released two teasers that are available on TikTok Malaysia and its official social media platforms.
