In the spirit of Merdeka and #kitajagakita, homegrown batik and textile online store, Nyonya Kain has launched the Nyonya Kain & The Community Campaign, in collaboration with Mercy Malaysia.
The campaign will support Mercy Malaysia in its effort to strengthen Malaysia's healthcare system as it copes with the high number of Covid-19 patients.
Nyonya Kain will contribute 20 per cent of all sales made between July 8 and Oct 31 to Mercy Malaysia for its medical relief efforts in Malaysia, including supporting the implementation of mobile vaccination centres (PPVs) to vaccinate those who have trouble going to the nearest PPV.
The donation will also go towards providing humanitarian assistance to affected parties, including hospitals, volunteers and medical frontliners.
"As the pandemic continues, we understand that things will become increasingly difficult on all fronts. Resources grow thin, spirits begin to fade, and people become more susceptible. We know times are tough and we are compelled to help," says founder Dayana Reza.
The contribution will also aid the deployment of critically needed medical equipment and other essential supplies to the medical sector.

Nyonya Kain has also started a special #BatikForEveryone #Merdeka campaign with various initiatives such as a special traditional dance challenge.
