YES! The celebrity chef is definitely heading to the slammer, not because he was found guilty of any offence, but instead, he will be cooking from its kitchen.
On his Instagram account, the jovial and outspoken Datuk Red-zuawan Ismail, known as Chef Wan, shared that he would be visiting four prison camps in Asia.
But, that is not all. While he is
at it, he might as well experience what life is like for an inmate. Imagine the horror!
Thankfully for him, this is only a part of his new hosting gig for Discovery Travel & Living channel’s new, yet-to-be-announced food and adventure travel show.
“The proposal sounds exciting, funny, scary and full of adventure,” he wrote in one of his Instagram posts.
“By the looks of everything, I said yes (to the show’s executive producer), and that I am game for the challenge!”
Chef Wan, 59, said it was not easy to be offered to appear on the Discovery Travel & Living channel.
“(They chose) me out of millions (of others). The show will be broadcast all over the world, too!”
He had worked with the said executive producer in 2012 on the BBC talkshow, Mishal Husain Meets. He had appeared in internationally-aired programmes such as Travel Channel’s No Reservations (2005), Nat Geo People’s East Bites West With Chef Wan (2014) and UK Food Network’s Market Kitchen (2007).
