(Showbiz) Fattah Amin's rep denies actor was being unprofessional for not appearing on MeleTOP

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular actor Fattah Amin’s rep has denied that he was being “unprofessional” after he reportedly bolted from Astro’s talk show MeleTOP’s set.

Netizens claimed the actor wasn’t brave enough to face his ex, Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor who is the co-host of MeleTOP alongside comedian Nabil Ahmad.

In a report by Utusan Online, Fas Subari of Fastyle Asia (Fattah’s management team) emphasised that the Coffee Prince actor left due to an emergency, but further details were not explained.

“As his manager, I know he did the best he could at being professional. I can’t explain further what happened last night, but we will have a meeting with Fattah and release a statement soon,” said Fas.

Meanwhile, according to a news report by mStar, Astro Ria channel manager Emarina Kamal said Fattah was being professional and denied allegations that he didn’t want Neelofa to helm the interview.

“If Fattah didn’t want to meet Neelofa, that decision would’ve been made earlier on and he would’ve left immediately after appearing on Hlive (an entertainment show that was also aired live before MeleTOP),” she said.

“Fattah’s schedule is very hectic and he also had to cancel an important meeting just to attend the show to promote Coffee Prince.

“He was already prepared backstage, but unfortunately he had to leave due to an emergency,” she added.

Emarina also thanked Fattah and his management team for making time to come to the show.
