#SHOWBIZ: I did pay 'nafkah' to Fazura, says Fattah Amin

KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Fattah Amin is upset that his ex-wife, actress Nur Fazura Sharuddin has alleged that he neglected his responsibilities as a husband and did not pay 'nafkah' (financial support) to her.

Harian Metro reported that Fattah said he had evidence of bank transactions that showed he was paying Fazura.

Fattah also denied receiving a luxury car from Fazura.

"That was from her company, I work for her company. My salary was deducted to pay for the Range Rover," he said.

Fattah also lamented that his daughter Nur Fatima Aisya, 4, had to see her parents' marriage come to an end.

"Fatima should not have to face this kind of situation. She is still young and wants her parents to be together."

He added that he had to lie to Fatima by telling her that he "had to leave the house due to work".

"She cried and held on to my hand, urging me not to go."

Fattah said that Fazura had custody of Fatima while he had visiting rights.

He admitted that he had persuaded Fazura to reconcile with him several times, but she literally shut the door on him.

"I also contacted her via WhatsApp, but she did not answer me," he said.

Fattah and Fazura were divorced at the Petalilng Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari, Shah Alam today after seven years of marriage.
