WITH her recently-announced new responsibility for next year, popular host, actress and entrepreneur Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor says that she has to cut down on accepting acting offers.
“It is another responsibility entrusted to me, which means putting acting aside for a while. It looks like it (acting) won’t be a priority for me in 2018,” the 28-year-old artiste told the New Straits Times recently.
Neelofa was named by AirAsia Berhad as one of its non-executive independent directors.
She’s achieved some remarkable feats this year, including being listed in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia 2017 list and being chosen as the first hijab-clad ambassador for international cosmetics brand Lancome.
However, she assured that she would continue to helm Astro’s hit weekly entertainment TV show MeleTOP.
“I’ve been on the show with Nabil Ahmad for five years, and MeleTOP has become part of me.
“Nabil, the production team members and the show’s fans — we share good chemistry, and I wouldn’t want to call it quits ,” said Neelofa, who said that she was also able to keep herself relevant through the show.
