ONE of South Korea’s most beloved power couples, Bigbang’s Taeyang and actress Min Hyo-rin, have apparently set their wedding date.
According to a news report by Koreaboo, a source, identified only as a close friend to the couple, revealed that they would tie the knot on Feb 3.
Prior to this, the agencies for the two stars had only confirmed that they would wed in February.
Sources from their agencies said: “It is true that they are getting married in February next year. It’s not a shotgun wedding.”
Reports also stated that the couple was cautious in making any announcements out of respect for the recent tragic death of Shinee member Jonghyun on Monday.
The two stars had planned it so that they could be married before Taeyang, 29, began his mandatory military service next year.
Although the two had met on the set of one of his music videos in 2014, they only revealed their relationship publicly a year later.
The popular singer broke the news of their engagement through a touching post on his personal Instagram account.
More recently, Taeyang had accompanied his 31-year-old fiancée to Indonesia, where she had a work commitment.
After returning to South Korea on Monday, the two were reported to have continued their preparations for their big day.
They had been quietly preparing for their wedding ceremony since last month.
