KUALA LUMPUR: Celebrity chef and singer Datuk Fazley Yaakob can now add "mobile game developer" to his list of professions.
According to local news reports, the 39-year-old recently launched his own cooking game app, Chef Fazley's Kitchen.
The inspiration for it came after he learnt that there hadn't been a game app that featured a local celebrity chef.
"I'm happy to see people playing this type of games but I've only seen those with international celebrity chefs, like (British master chef) Gordon Ramsay's Restaurant Dash," he said during his Instagram Live last Thursday.
"So I've taken the initiative to produce one of my own to prove that a Malaysian can also achieve the same feat."
Chef Fazley's Kitchen is now available for download via App Store and Google Play Store.
"I'm thrilled for its release especially since I've worked on it for a year and it wasn't an easy feat," he said.
Fazley added that the app, which was the result of a collaboration with a local company, offers a chance for the public to experience the life of a chef.
"For the game's setting, I found inspiration from my restaurant SukaSucre Bistro as well as some of my award-winning dishes."
