Hoping for better year

“MY resolution for this year is that I aim to be the best version of me,” said actress Raja Ilya Raja Mohamad.

The 32-year-old also hoped to take part in activities that would promote women’s empowerment.

For singer Wany Hasrita Habullah, 25, career wise, she hoped to come up with more quality songs this year and expected her mini album of five songs, which is scheduled to be released soon, would be well received.

She said her personal goal this year was to buy a house.

For hip hop artiste Joe Flizzow, he hoped to eat healthier food this year. Besides aiming to exercise more, the rapper and record producer wanted to write more hits.

“I wish to perform in at least 20 countries in 2018,” said the 38-year-old artiste, who released the English single Drop last November.

Meanwhile, rapper SonaOne aimed to “take more chances which will lead to bigger opportunities.

“I need to learn when to say ‘yes’ and ‘no’ accordingly. As I want to make more music and travel more, I need to maintain a healthy body.

“Besides aiming for my own happiness and success, I also wish that my friends and peers would see their dreams come true,” said the 29-year-old, who also wished “to adopt another pet that is not a cat”.

Meanwhile, singer Sam Nuhair said “every day is a new beginning. I learn new things each day and I will keep doing this in 2018. I also want to focus more in whatever I set myself to do and worry less.”

The 23-year-old said she hoped to write better songs that would earn her an award this year.

For comedian and radio announcer Ajak (of Shiro), 31, he wished that he could spend a day a week with his family this year.

“On that day, I will put aside my mobile phone and will not even check my social media accounts.

“My focus will be on my family for the entire day,” said Ajak, who also hoped to lead a healthier lifestyle this year.
