KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Nurul Wahab may be busy with dozens of invites to perform at dinners and corporate events these days.
However, the 40-year-old vocalist behind popular songs Kerana Terluka and Cinta Azali, turns zumba instructor once a week to lead her zumba sessions in order to keep others, and herself, fit and strong.
"I've been a zumba instructor for the last three years, and I love this form of exercise since it involves dance and aerobic movements that are combined with upbeat music," she said in a recent news report by Astro Gempak.
Encouraging Malaysians to take up zumba due to its simple, yet stimulating form of exercise, Nurul said: “Zumba practitioners have a good time exercising, as they love music which lifts their moods. It's keeping fit while having fun!"
Besides keeping fit, she is preparing for the release of her French album, slated for March.
