KUALA LUMPUR: Award-winning actress Fasha Sandha is now a producer.
Through her production company, FS Creative Sdn Bhd, established end of last year, the 34-year-old artiste recently wrapped up her company’s first project, a 50-episode sitcom titled Mamu Mami Gosip.
“I never thought I would ever venture into producing since it is not an easy task.
“But after all the encouragement and support from many, I’m glad I took this challenge of becoming a producer,” said Fasha in an interview with Harian Metro recently.
The single mother-of-two said that she had to dug deep into her savings to fork out RM1 million as startup capital.
“I had also seeked advice from other artistes-turned-producers like Datuk Hans Isaac and Datuk A. Aida. They gave me a lot of guidance and encouragement and by October last year, I knew I was ready for this new endeavour,” recounted Fasha who also contributed her own ideas and wrote the script for the show.
Besides Fasha, others in the cast for the hour-long sitcom include Kazar Saisi, Delimawati, Tauke Jambu, Elisya Sandha, Afifah Nasir and Fikhree Bakar.
Mamu Mami Gosip is expected to air in the middle of the year on a TV channel which will only be announced later.
