KUALA LUMPUR: Fans of Nur Fathia Latiff would be delighted to hear that the controversial actress is back in the news, this time around, for the right reasons.
The 30-year-old artiste recently uploaded a YouTube video of herself performing her new single, Keluarkan Aku, which combines pop and hip-hop, and impressed many Netizens with her ability to rap like a professional.
The video, which has had more than 30,000 views, was uploaded last Saturday and showed Fathia dressed in a red tudung and beige dress, gesturing to audiences as bits of the song's lyrics appeared in luminous pink on the screen.
Keluarkan Aku is composed by DJ Fuzz and Wawa, and co-written by Waris and Fathia.
This marks Fathia’s first music video, and contains a catchy chorus which goes "keluar, keluar, keluarkan aku, di saat ku rindu kamu" (get me out, when I'm missing you).
Netizens praised Fathia for her good singing voice and described her foray into hip-hop as commendable.
"Love it, Fathia. You covered some popular songs earlier, and now you've got your own song. It's great!" said Jannah.
"Nice work Fathia. Keep it up!" said Aliah.
"It's a cool song. You do hip-hop beautifully, Fathia," said Malissa.
Last February, Nur Fathia was praised by Netizens for her cover of British-Albanian singer Dua Lipa's hit New Rules.
Her video was uploaded by Patrick Anohada, a NAR Records composer and guitarist on his YouTube account.
