KUALA LUMPUR: Film producer Gayatri Su-Lin Pillai admits that she and hunky actor Zul Ariffin are still friends and they’re comfortable with the status of their relationship.
“We’re on good terms and honestly speaking, I’m comfortable being close to him,” Gayatri told reporters yesterday when asked to comment on their relationship.
She admitted that she had never commented anything when gossips about them were rife, even when the two were an item at one time.
However, since the 31-year-old actor is currently single again after ending the relationship with fellow actress Zahirah MacWilson, what is heard through the grapevine is that Zul and Gayatri have rekindled their relationship.
While only admitting that they’re close, Gayatri only smiled when asked if they were more than just friends and whether it could lead to a formal union.
“Only God knows what’s in store in the future,” she added.
Gayatri, who was met after the launch of film Hantu Kak Limah at Wow KL here yesterday, said that she paid a visit to Zul and his family recently to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Hantu Kak Limah is co-produced by Infinitus and Astro Shaw. Directed by Mamat Khalid, it’s cast include Zul, Datuk Awie, Uqasha Senrose, Sabri Yunus and Erra Fazira.
The film opens in cinemas on Aug 9.
